Inglewood House Bed and Breakfast complies with its obligations under the General Data Protection Regulation by ensuring that all personal data is relevant, is held for a valid purpose and is up-to-date; by storing and destroying it securely; by not collecting or retaining excessive amounts of data; by protecting personal data from loss, misuse, unauthorised access or disclosure, and by ensuring that appropriate physical and technical measures are in place to protect personal data. We will never sell or share or misue any personal data. The following information is to let you know how we use your personal information.

What Information do we collect?

When you make a booking with us using our own website we collect the names of all the guests who will be staying, the home address, email address and telephone numbers of the person making the booking.

To comply with the Immigration (Hotel Records) Order 1972 we need to collect the following information from guests on their arrival:

  • full name
  • nationality

For all who are not British, Irish or Commonwealth guests:

  • passport number and place of issue (or other document which shows their identity and nationality)
  • details of their next destination (including address, if known) on or before departure

We will keep these details securely. We are required to keep these registration forms for a year and show them to a police officer if they request to see them. We will destroy these forms 12 months after your stay.

How we use the information we hold on you.

We will use the email address or phone number to confirm your booking and to contact you with more details on how to find us and other information you may find useful for your stay.  We will take reasonable precautions to the prevent the loss, misuse or alteration and any information you give us. We do not contact any guests for any direct marketing purposes and we will not share your information with any other guests.

How is your data stored?

All of your data is stored on a password protected home computer and/or on paper securely stored.
